Saving His Wolf By Kerry Adrienne

From USA TODAY bestselling author Kerry Adrienne comes a riveting novella perfect for fans of the Shifter Wars series
Olivia, born blind and without the ability to shift, yearns to seek her own fate away from her watchful and devoted wolf pack. Vulnerable and stuck in human form, she's alone and at risk in the forest's brutal winter when she's rescued by a park ranger and taken to his cabin in Deep Creek. By the warmth of a crackling fire, she's comforted by his presence. But it's his rugged scent that stirs something in her she's never felt before.
Bear shifter Powell sensed the instant he held her that Olivia was his mate. He also knew she had the untapped powers to discover her true shifting nature--if only he could convince her to trust in him, and to believe in herself. Now the one thing that stands to threaten their healing mating hunger is Olivia's distrusting and vigilant pack. A pack prepared to do anything to get her back.
But there is no danger as strong, no desire so liberating as what Powell is bringing out in her--because Olivia can finally see where her destiny lies.

REVIEW

#4 star for this particular story

Olivia and Powell's story is short but sweet.
Its got everything you need to enjoy the story, but I liked the characters that much I wanted it continue.
Maybe they will show up in a new book?
The epilogue finishes the story off, but after she stands up to Alfred, I wanted to what would happen next to the pack and for Olivia. But I guess that is something you have to deal with in anthologies.  Will check out the other books that the author has written - yes.

Wolf Summer by Sionna Fox

When Callie Anders wakes up in her best friend's bed with a hangover that makes her feel like she's been hit by a truck—well, it's because she has been hit by a truck. And turned into a shape-shifting wolf with a raging lust to jump her gorgeous best friend Sam, the werewolf who bit her. Happy twenty-first birthday.

Sam MacTire couldn't just leave Callie to die in the road, and there was no time to wait for an ambulance. No time to do anything but what he did: make her a shifter like himself. There would be no more need to hide from her. He's always loved her, and now…

An irresistible bond has things heating up between them, fast. But outside their private world, all signs point to a setup. Someone wanted Sam to break the sacred laws of the shifter clan and face the horrific consequences. Unless he can convince Callie to testify on his behalf—convince her that he hasn't betrayed her, lied to her their whole lives—there's a very good chance that Sam may never see his newfound mate again. This book is approximately 26,000 words

REVIEW #2.5 stars for this particular story

An ok shifter story, there wasn't really anything new in the trope, and maybe thats why I think it dragged a bit for me.
The writing style was good, but it just didn't make me want to keep reading like the first story. I put it down until I had nothing else nearby to read.

Drawn to the Wolves By Shari Mikels

The pack's alpha has finally found his fated mate…and she's terrified of wolves.
Wolf shifter Callan Mohan has a powerful connection to his pack. As alpha, he can sense if something is wrong—and when he feels panic coming from an unknown source, his instincts tell him she's someone to be protected at all costs.
Rescuing a stranger from an unexpected confrontation with two wolf shifters is easy. Helping her move from fear to acceptance of the animals—and him—is a challenge.
Kate Ballard's attraction to her mysterious rescuer is instant. That she falls for Callan so quickly isn't surprising—his strong, confident presence puts her at ease, and the strange connection she has to him makes her feel safe almost immediately. He's the man she didn't know she was waiting for.
It's only a matter of time before Callan has to tell Kate the truth. And find out, once and for all, if her love for him is enough to overcome her fear.  This book is approximately 30,000 words

REVIEW #3 stars for this particular story

I like this story, but I wished that the special abilities and connection Kate and Callan had between them had been explained. I'm left with a few unanswered questions. That being said, it was a good story, a bit graphic in the sex scenes but enjoyable non the less.

I have given the anthology an overall score of 4 stars but this was mainly due to my enjoyment of the first book.

This review is from: Mated: A Paranormal Romance Shifter Anthology: Saving His Wolf\Wolf Summer\Drawn to the Wolves (Kindle Edition)

These 3 books are unique in their own way, even though they are all paranormal books, they are different. The first story, I fell in love with it quickly. A women running from her pack, blind, and scared. She gets saved by a werebear, who realizes this scared woman is his fated mate. They seek out answers to find out why she cannot shift. Is it just because of her disability of being born blind? Tragedy strikes. Can these fated mates overcome their obstacle and live happily together? Or will it be too late?
Book 2 was just as enthralling. What happens when your best friend, the one you’ve loved, either dies at your hands or you use your ability as a shifter to change her? The alpha cannot live without her, therefore he makes the decision of changing her. Not only does she find out who he really is, but she realizes what she means to him as well. Can she stand to be with him after he took the decision from her, or can they overcome this obstacle and be together forever?
Book 3 was just as exceptional as the others. An alpha senses something/someone is in distress. When he discovers his fated mate is being accosted by his cousin and a wolve, he comes to her rescue, even though is accidentally landed on their property. Family issues are thrown into place, as well as her fear of wolves, due to a tragic accident that occurred when she was a kid. Can the alpha take care of the threats, as well as working on her fear of wolves? Or will this be a lost cause?
All books were very well written, and each author knows how to throw you into the lives of these stories. I highly recommend this book. You get 3 stories in 1, how can you go wrong?
